SPOTLIGHT ON THE MEMO LABEL

Above: Full page clipping from Billboard Music Yearbook 1946. Memo is short for Melody Moderne. While the label, located in Hollywood, may have been most known for "hillbilly" records, their first four releases were by Dusty Brooks and his Four Tones, all in 1945. The first two are included below. There was a fifth release by this group in 1948.
