Above: 1956 photo of The Castelles (L-R) Clarence Scott (baritone, bass, guitarist), Octavious Anthony (tenor), George Grant (lead tenor), and Billy Taylor (tenor, baritone). The members on the first four Grand releases were Grant, Anthony, Taylor, Ron Everett (bass), and Frank Vance (guitarist). Walter Miller replaced Taylor on the final two Grand releases.

THE CASTELLES WERE INDUCTED INTO THE UGHA HALL OF FAME IN 1996!

Above: Label image of Grand 101 recorded on August 4, 1953 and released in October of that year. The Grand label was formed for The Castelles and this is the first record for both. The Castelles had six releases on Grand (1953-55) and one release on Atco (1956). George Grant sings lead on "My Girl Awaits Me." Octavious Anthony sings lead and has composer credit on the flip.
