Richard Berry had previously filled in for The Robins to sing lead on their "Riot In Cell Block #9," released in May 1954. The Robins' regular bass singer, Bobby Nunn, sings lead on "Framed." Ervin "Big Boy" Groves wouldn't have complained about spending his money on gas if he could have seen into the future!

Trade Magazine (September 1954):
The Robins have been signed by Universal-International pictures to make a film short. They are the first r.&b. attraction to be signed by a major movie studio. Boys are noted for their popular prison songs, such as "Ten Days in Jail," "Riot in Cell Block #9" and now "Framed," which has just been released on the Spark label....
