Above: The Duke Hampton Orchestra in the 1940's. In this picture, Virtue is playing the bass fiddle and Aletra the piano. Dawn and Carmalita were saxophone players. Duke was their brother. The Duke Hampton Orchestra did have at least one release on King Records (1953) featuring Aletra as vocalist.

Above: Clippings from May 1946. There were eight brothers and four sisters in the Hampton family.... all played musical instruments.
